Course Length: 4 required continuing education hours

Course Description

Technology is involved in nearly every stage of a modern real estate transaction. Licensees use digital tools to market properties, communicate with clients, obtain signatures, research property information, manage documents, and coordinate closings. While these tools can improve efficiency and service, they can also expose clients, properties, confidential information, and transactions to serious risks.

This course examines the licensee’s responsibility when selecting and using technology. Participants will explore property security, consumer privacy, digital due diligence, electronic transaction management, cybersecurity, wire fraud, artificial intelligence, and brokerage policies. The course emphasizes that technology may assist the licensee, but it does not replace reasonable care, professional judgment, verification, documentation, or personal communication.
